Motto

Preserving Heritage, Inspiring Futures

A scholar-led cultural and academic centre dedicated to the preservation, study, and global engagement of Dagbon history, culture, governance systems, and broader African indigenous knowledge traditions.

About ACADS

The Alliance Centre for African & Dagbon Studies (ACADS) is a scholar-led cultural and academic centre hosted by Impact Alliance Consult. The Centre is dedicated to the preservation, study, and global engagement of Dagbon history, culture, governance systems, and broader African indigenous knowledge traditions.

ACADS positions Dagbon not only as a cultural heritage site, but as an intellectual space through which critical African Studies debates on governance, authority, conflict resolution, identity, and decolonial thought can be advanced. The Centre serves as a bridge between indigenous knowledge holders, academic scholars, cultural institutions, and global audiences.

While institutionally hosted by Impact Alliance Consult for sustainability, compliance, and administrative support, ACADS operates with clear scholarly independence, research agendas, methodologies, and publications are directed by academic leadership, community engagement, and ethical guidelines.

Academic Orientation & Scholarly Independence

The Centre prioritizes:
